About the event

We are dedicating our February membership event to the topic of food insecurity in Hawaii:

Jennine Sullivan, Executive Director of The Pantry, will be giving remarks on the issue of food insecurity and the mission of her organization. The Pantry is the largest food distribution pantry in all of Hawaii and is located right in Fort Shafter’s backyard, just a short walk from our back gate.

We will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall at the AMR Chapel; from the parking lot, head up the walkway toward the main chapel and you will see the Fellowship Hall right in front of you. In honor of the Superbowl that weekend, this meeting will be a “Souperbowl”! Please bring a crockpot soup, soup toppings, a side of rolls, bowls/napkins/spoons, dessert, etc. to share (comment on the event discussion on the app what you plan to bring). We are also asking all members to consider bringing a donation of canned goods for The Pantry. They are most in need of proteins: peanut butter, canned chicken, canned tuna, etc. Mahalo!!!
